New York Philharmonic
The Norton Center is honored to welcome the New York Philharmonic as it joins the ranks of distinguished international orchestras that have performed in Newlin Hall. Founded in 1842, it is America’s oldest and draws upon a rich tradition of musical excellence that distinguishes it as one of the world’s greatest symphonies. Under the direction of Maestro Lorin Maazel, the orchestra will present a program of nineteenth century masterworks including the Roman Carnival Overture of Berlioz, Schumann’s Symphony No. 4, and Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition.
