Kodo

“Kodo” means “heartbeat,” humanity’s most fundamental source of rhythm and the first sound a child hears in its mother’s womb.  Growing from the ancient Japanese art of drumming, or “taiko,” these incredibly athletic performers build on the centuries-old tradition to create a rhythmic language that speaks to a modern generation.  A genuine world treasure, Kodo’s One Earth Tour has taken the company to over three dozen countries for more than 3,000 concerts in locations ranging from war-torn Croatia to New York City’s Carnegie Hall.  This is a unique experience you’ll never forget.
